Meg's Birthday Brownies

My little Meg is turning 8 on Monday. So to get warmed up for the upcoming events we made brownies for her to take to school. My children love anytime we make something chocolate and love to be the clean up crew.

Megan was so excited to have her special moment at school. She asked permission to the teacher to bring her special snack today. School is closed on her actual birthday for teacher training so today was the next best day. Meg has talked about taking her treats every evening. She had it all figured out for how she wanted to pass out her brownies and would tell us her strategies with a big smile.

I love how the small simple things can make you feel so special. I'm hoping she has a great day and gets her moment in the spot light.

Thoughts for 2010

I got a card from my Aunt Marion one year and cut out the saying to post on my fridge. It says:

Think Deeply,
Speak Gently,
Love Much,
Laugh A Lot,
Work Hard,
Give Freely,
Trust God,
And Be Kind

As we start this new year of 2010 everyone thinks of things they want to improve or change in life. I thought this was a nice summary of things to weave into our lives and very simply put.
